Cookie Policy

What are cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between visits — like whether you're signed in.

What we use

We keep this deliberately minimal. Right now, this site only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work — there are no advertising or tracking cookies.

  • Account sign-in (Clerk) — when you sign in, our authentication provider Clerk sets a cookie so you stay signed in as you browse and don't have to log in on every page.
  • Your bag and settings (stored in your browser) — what's in your bag, your language and your currency are saved in your browser's local storage, so they're still there next time. None of it is sent to us until you place an order.
  • Voting (am_voter) — when you vote for a painting, a cookie keeps a random id so you can change your votes and can't vote more than three times. It's only set if you vote, and says nothing about who you are.

Because these cookies are essential for the site to function, they don't require a consent banner under GDPR/ePrivacy rules — but we wanted to be upfront about them anyway.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time. If you block the sign-in cookie, you simply won't be able to stay signed in to an account.
